Genocide Warning System announces that the Defcon level of Finland is now four. Defcon four represents a situation of widespread hate speech, which is creating the hatred against minorities required for ethnic cleansing.
True Finns is a populist party known well for the xenophobic and racist sentiments of its politicians and voters. In April 2011 parliamentary elections True Finns received 19,1% of total votes. This amount of votes is an indication of a high level of xenophobia in Finland.
After the elections the most loud-mouthed racist member of parliament has been True Finns' Teuvo Hakkarainen, who basically seems to be a redneck too stupid to shut up even while the government negotiations are still proceeding. He is not in any case the most dangerous wannabe ethnic cleanser sitting in the Finnish Parliament.
True Finns can well be seen as a throughoutly xenophobic party, but they contain a much more hardcore fascist faction. This faction consists of members of Suomen Sisu, a secretive and dangerous nazi-minded organization.
Known Suomen Sisu members in the True Finns parliamentary group include Jussi Halla-aho, Olli Immonen, James Hirvisaari and Juho Eerola. Jussi Halla-aho is the most well-known of these nazis, since he is the ideological guru of the Finnish racists after publishing racist propaganda on the internet for years. These people are by far more dangerous than rednecks like Hakkarainen, they are capable of actually organizing violence against minorities.
Luckily it seems like True Finns will not be in the next government, which means that it will probably take until the next elections before ethnic cleansing starts in Finland. In a sense Teuvo Hakkarainen has unwittingly made a huge service to human rights in Finland, since his foul-mouthed statements against minority groups made it quite impossible for other parties to accept True Finns into the next government.
Since the True Finns party is extremely hostile to all minority groups, their members of parliament are spewing out racist propaganda and they contain a faction belonging to a nazi organization, we have to heighten the alert level to Defcon four, representing organized hate speech inciting people to commit violence against minority groups.
